Makeovers

Big strides in the Paris Makeover !

March 7, 2018

Hey guys !

So last I left you : the kitchen was emptied, the big pieces of furniture were gone, and I was waiting on new bay windows ! Life was exciting. And then … my camera crapped out on me. Grrr. It turns out, I had to sit on the new window pictures so long that bigger changes were coming, so I thought, well, might as well wait for those !

The biggest change by far was the new wall in the living room to separate the space, and create the bedroom.
And now that it’s here, it’s time for a full-on, slow-mo, teary look back at our progress in the living room … Get ready !

We went from this :

To new bay windows, with electronic shutters, double paned windows, and doors that actually close and lock. Yes that’s a thing. Who knew?

To this !!

Folks, the bedroom has landed !!!

And presenting a new living / dining area which is not too shabby either … !

I can’t tell you how freaking excited I am about finally seeing this wall come up. The guys are still tinkering with the details for the window and securing it with a bigger border this week, and the kitchen door is on its way to be delivered. So things are a-changing !

Things are also coming along in the bathroom. Last we left it there was a bit of a, well, hole in the wall ! It was easy access though…

They then removed the old bathtub to make room for a glory, gigantic shower !

And added a new sliding door (not all done yet)!

Early next week, all the plumbing work is starting, that means finally removing the last bit of the kitchen, and the annoying bidet and sink in the bathroom.
Now that demolition is nearly all done, we’re in the very exciting stage of “building back up” and things are really gonna come together !

I’m prepping a little post for you next week to show you some of the furniture and accessories I picked out for a look at the direction I’m going in.
And also, some really fun behind the scenes from Havenly, so stay tuned !
