Neon Extravaganza ! An All-Time Fave by Jewel Marlowe

May 16, 2022

It’s the beginning of another week and I’ve been feeling all kinds of creative lately ! My little business is growing, I’m plotting some decor changes around the house (which neeever happens!) and I’ve even started painting again ! At this point, who even am I ?!

With my little creative reset, I’ve been feeling more inspired that I have in a long while and I’ve been feeding my brain new and exciting designs on the daily. But it got me thinking about the all-timers, the creme de la creme, the rooms that have stuck with me for years, and that I still consider the coolest ones around. New inspiration is always amazing, it’s exciting to discover a new space, look over all the details, but my heart still flutters just as much when I see Jeweled Interiors’ 2018 One Room Challenge living/dining room combo.

I talked a little about the ORC in previous years (here and here) and Jewel is always at the top of my favourites. She’s self-taught, a DIY legend and quite frankly, a straight-up visionary. What she’s accomplished over the years in those challenges is unprecedented so much so that she’s now top of the heap, taking on clients and has appeared in every magazine known to man ! No to mention she’s the loveliest human ever too. I have yet to find a flaw in this woman, which is …. suspicious.

So while Jewel and her family have moved countless times, giving us so many new spaces to drool over each year, I still come back to this, pink and blue, tiger-filled, spectacularly wild design she did a few years back. The only word that really comes to mind is : awesome. It’s awesome. It’s fun and bold but so glam, mixing classical and modern. I just love it so much. And now I hope you do too !
Take it in :
