For a few weeks now I’ve been all about the resurgence of the electric blue in decor, a slight obsession, kind of like a song stuck in my head. I’m a little extra proud since International Klein Blue was first created by the French artist Yves Klein – and I remember vividly seeing the blue in person during an exhibit of his work as a kid – it’s still to this day the most fascinating shade I’ve ever come across.
It’s no surprise that it would be a match made in heaven for maximalist designers all around the world and for the past few years, it’s been used in wild and crazy spaces but also in more classical ones as a touch of the unexpected !
Here is a little round-up and inspiration on how to sprinkle it into your home. Enjoy the show !
Claude Cartier Decoration / Thomas Housinger
Elizabeth Demos / Carrier and Company
2LG Studio / Le Voyage Interieur
Anna Weege / Natalie Papier, Home Ec.
Now that is some serious power for a few pigments ! What do you think, would you go for it ?
