Good people of the internet … this is a special inspiration post on Friday – yes I know, it’s shocking, just breathe. But this couldn’t wait ! For I present to you my new love : the home of Dalila Formentini in Lake Como. Welcome to a very unique mix of traditional and highly electric modernity : it’s graphic patterns and color-blocking at its finest, and in such an unexpected setting. This ain’t your grandma’s Lake Como let me tell ya ! (Or George Clooney’s for that matter …)
Now this tour is short and sweet because while it’s been published in a few magazines, it’s weirdly very hard to find pictures of it online! So I’ll stick to my favorite rooms, starting with this insanely perfect checkerboard from wall to ceiling, the color combination, the traditional elements, my god…
I am not ashamed to say I openly wept. Look. At. It !!
But Dalila’s not done with you, no sir, because she has even more color-blocking skills up her sleeves, with high voltage rooms a-plenty !
And just when you thought you were safe : BAM ! Pattern explosion !
I don’t know about you but I was already dreaming of Lake Como, so I now I have to find this house – and Dalila –
and convince her to let me live there in the attic, ugh, it’s going to be tricky !
I hope this is going to be good daydream fodder for you guys today while you’re waiting for the week to be over ! ✌️
(This post is 100% sponsored by the vacation I just booked to spend my birthday week in Italy this year ! 😝)
