Unless you’ve been living under a rock, the past month has been all-Barbie, all-the-time around the interwebs and while fashion was the first obvious target, the decor world was no exception ! From the pinkest pockets of our favorite maximalist homes, to absolute dream homes in all manner of rose shades, and everything in between, instagram in particular has been regaling us with the vibe.
While I don’t particularly carry a torch for the “Barbie” era of my early life – I’m sure it was wonderful at the time but I haven’t thought about it once since then – I am extremely excited about the Barbie movie and fully delighting in this promotional wave of fun and color.
And since the marketing team is going all out, today I’m sharing one of the funner things to come out of the movie so far : the Airbnb Barbie Dreamhouse. It’s been redesigned to fit the “Ken” theme, which is such a perfect twist, I love it. The whole house is so much fun and I really wish we had more photos floating out here, but for now I’ll direct you in particular to the amazing cowboy style bedroom I have been drooling over, it’s perfection and I swear to you all it’s so close to my style, I could have designed this
(I was sooo jealous when I first saw it lol – clients : let’s aim for this !!).
The round bed, graphic wallpaper, plastic life-sized horse, Sottsass mirror, it’s all so playful and fabulous and modern, I can’t get over it. No notes ! 😎
I hope this will inspire a very pink and funky weekend, maybe a little roller disco horse ride? Is that a thing ? Let’s make it one, go nuts !

Adding a little footnote here : I haven’t posted in a while – the summer crashed down on me pretty fast between lots of work and trying to take a little time off, so I might do a few posts here and there until the end of August if I can, but no guarantees – be warned !
