Making a Small Space Big : Lessons from This Epic Chicago Pad

January 15, 2024

Happy Monday all ! We’re coming off a real winter scene in Paris but after a week of freezing our asses collectively, I’m looking out today and the sun is out ! Hope is back ! And I have big hopes that by the time Paris Deco Off rolls around (in 2 days) I’ll be warm enough to ditch the ugly winter cozies for some fashionable night outfits ! That’s right, I’m looking at a week filled with cool design, cool people and cool events and I can’t wait ! I’ll be taking you along on Insta stories too so don’t forget to follow along 😘

But, before all that, it’s Monday people, and that means : inspiration time ! Now if you follow a lot of design publications or accounts, you may have gotten a peek at this one, but I have to share for anyone who missed it, because it is gorgeous ! This my friends, is a 700 sq. ft. apartment in Chicago, created, loved and curated to feel like a very inviting and warm home, and boy does it deliver !

Bathing in a lovely masculine palette of cold and elegant tones, Curtis & Danielle brought in a lot of interest with the bold wallpaper, colorful touches, beautiful and unique art, and rounded, eye-catching furniture. The dark colors make the space extra cozy and earthy, and allow the personality touches to really pop against it all. And that yellow fabric piece of art is just incredible – I’m in awe of that dining area ! It’s also creating a very restful vibe despite those wild colors and patterns, which is always an impressive feat. I feel like there’s beautiful slow life happening in those rooms. It’s all gorgeous, the green wallpaper from Otto Studio is so fabulous and I love how the art choices blend. Overall, no notes ! Enjoy the tour 😍
