22 May Aaaaaaand we’re back !! New inspiration to shake things up 💕

Hi friends, old and new – welcome back to The Velvet Jungle !

The blog has been on hiatus for about a year while I was reworking things but today we’re celebrating the return with what I love best : bold inspiration !

If you’re new here this is what you can expect regularly : fabulous inspiration from all around the world, interiors full of color, whether I’m crushing on a designer, a feature or I’m reporting from fancy design shows in France ! You’ll also see some shopping round-ups if you’re in the U.S. to grab your own wild and unique decor directly from the source (although don’t forget to check out the SHOP for what’s already in the spotlight 🥰

But enough introduction, let’s check out today’s impossibly cool space : a big ass house in Austin ! Now Austin has become quite the hive of maximalists over the years and it’s no surprise given the city’s reputation for embracing weirdness, but we’re seeing a lot of luxury maximalism which is a really fun offshoot to drool at in my opinion.
