09 Mar It’s MONIOMI, Bitch ! Make Way For The GOATs of Immersive Experiences

Bonjour design lovers !

Today I’m taking you into the world of MONIOMI, the wife and husband duo reigning over Miami design scene. Their bold and eclectic residential projects have made heads turn for a while now but there are two recent showstoppers that truly stand out, and they are show house experiences. These “rooms” are created out of thin air as part of design showcases, they’re usually carte blanche, over the top creations, and showcasing pure creativity. Their last two are no exception and I’m highlighting them both simultaneously here for our collective viewing pleasure.

First up, the delicious VIP Lounge at Art Basel last year, pairing “crafted luxury with artistic rebellion”, clad in yellow tones and other-worldly furniture pieces, creating a tropical dreamscape. I’ve seen a few takes on the giant layered art frames but these are by far the most hypnotic yet, creating a DIY itch like you wouldn’t believe…. Feast your eyes on this baby :

But it’s not over yet ! We then move on to the 11:11 Room, created for the Kips Bay Palm Beach Showhouse – that same year !!! – where they opted for a rec room concept, proving that spaces for play can be just as stylish, inviting, and multifunctional as the rest of the home ! Here we pivot to darker tones for full coziness, and letting all the pattern play together in the most delicious way, and while every detail here is absolute heaven, the bar area and bathroom cemented themselves as the most mind-blowing designs of the year. We’re not worthy !
