Effortlessly Cool : Step Into a Colorful & Vintage-Filled Oasis in Melbourne

May 8, 2023

Good morning all … she is BACK ! If you’ve been following my Insta stories, you know I was away for the past 10 days, roaming through Italy – first by myself and then with my ladies – celebrating my birthday ! It was absolutely magical and now I’m of course headed for the ever so slight hint of depression that comes with a great vacation : fully rethinking my life choices as I ponder
“how soon can I go back ? “, “should I move there ? “, and “where has all the pasta gone ? “
It’s gross in Paris also which isn’t helping, just rain and cold, and after spending my time under the sun
eating gelato, things are HARD ! Maybe it’s just pasta withdrawal, let’s wait a week and see how I fare.

I will have plenty to keep me busy as I catch up with all my clients and new projects and today I’m also, of course getting back on inspiration tours ! It’s Monday, so I’m taking you to Australia, more specifically Melbourne, to tour a delightful haven full of personality !

Created by Eddy Opmanis and photographer Eryca Green, owners of a pretty famous vintage shop in Fitzroy so you know they have good taste, and boy does it show ! The furniture obviously was going to be fabulous but I was not ready for all the art and accessories to be this eye-catching and perfectly curated. It’s such a warm and inviting space throughout – dare I say the visual definition of “cozy” ! – going from light to dark wall colors with a very natural flow being the master stroke here. It’s all extremely impressive and dreamy, fit for a magazine but still looking so incredibly lived-in, I say to them both a big “bravo” ! 👏👏👏

Absolutely timeless ! I hope you’re feeling energized by this delightful tour, or maybe it’s making you feel so cozy that you just got back into bed – in which case … so be it ! I’ll be back on Friday for our regularly scheduled programming and in the meantime :
