Getting Artsy in Mumbai : From the Mind of Ashiesh Shah

January 23, 2023

Welp, I did it. I managed to miss Paris Deco Off, Maison & Objet and the Schiaparelli exhibit all in one weekend … !

I was feeling all kind of crappy and had to spend most of the weekend in bed, ugh !
It really stopped me in my home makeover tracks too, so I’ve been catching up like crazy since 7 a.m this morning…
trying not to dwell on it all and move forward ! (And that is going greaaaaat ! So excited !)

But ! Never mind all that, because it is Monday and we are here for one thing and one thing only people : inspiration ! And I got a good one for you today : allow me to introduce you to the fantastic world of Ashiesh Shah, architect and designer extraordinaire !

Ashiesh has designed many an amazing home but this one caught my eye in particular, as it is the home of an art patron and filled with very unique pieces – always a winning combo in my book ! It feels like everything in the room an art piece in its own right, from the lighting to the furniture and the art itself – the whole selection is guiding your eye through the rooms, curiosity never letting up and I want to see and touch it all ! This feels like a gallery and design store all in one, but in the best way.
Also the color palette is exquisite 🥰 Take a little tour for yourself !

Be sure to check out Ashiesh’s other works and follow him along on Instagram for all the good stuff !

Weekly Finds

The Coolest Finds of the Week

January 20, 2023

Happy Friday all !
Weekly Finds are officially back and we’re starting off with some strong, colorful femme vibes for the perfect “new year, new me” inspiration. Brigitte Bardot herself is urging you to have some fun with your decor ! 🤩
A lot of my faves here from Jonathan Adler, who never misses with the funky accents, along with chic touches from
Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters for a perfect high/low budget mix !
And I’ll say it, everyone should have these Dusen Dusen bath towels, with their bold color-clashing stripes.

I’m in the middle of a makeover myself and the hot pink is all up in my head and soon to be in my home – I can’t get enough !
Things are heating up in Paris this weekend with both Maison & Objet and Paris Deco Off filling the city with amazing discoveries, fingers crossed I’ll be able to see a little bit of it as I’ve been under the weather (and it’s freezing outside lol).
I hope this look will inspire your weekend and future decor plans !
See ya Monday !

Take Me To Barcelona ! Check Out Guillermo Santoma’s Multicolored Home.

January 16, 2023

Welp, totally missed my deadline for our first Weekly Finds of the year, there I said it. I know, I know, but promise I have a reaaaally good excuse. Middle of the week, new year fever was still 100% running the show in my brain so I may or may not have decided to finally makeover my living room !! Pooled everything in the center and started painting and sawing and drilling … oops ! 😂
I’ve been wanting to change it up for a few months now and it all came to a head last week as I finally had some time and energy to do it. So we were deprived of Friday shopping but rest assured, some very cool inspiration is coming your way with this new look.
I am extra giddy about it, can’t wait to share !

Now for today though, I am very excited to share this new find – this is actually an older design and I’m a little shocked I’ve never seen this place before but what a delight to still be able to stumble onto these little treasures ! Welcome my friends, to the multicolored, uber cool home of designer Guillermo Santoma in lovely Barcelona 😍.

A delightful mix of soft pastel pink and dark, deep forest green runs through the house, covering every inch, along with a light touch of mint for balance and a touch of blue skies and pink clouds for funkiness ! It’s both full of whimsy, and insanely cool design pieces; the contrast of the classic elements of the home – like the delicate doors – and the stark modern concrete shapes really catches you off guard and it looks filled with secret passages and corridors. To the surprise of no-one : I LOVE IT !

Take a little stroll through the space for yourself and get inspired :
