Travel Envy : A Hidden Maximalist Gem in Margate

August 8, 2022

Last week, I shared with you a tour of my dream Marrakech stay, the El Fenn Hotel (read about it here if you missed it) after finding out I’ll be spending the summer at home. Well, I thought, why not make it a summer series and keep traveling from my computer, taking in gorgeous stay options for the future !

So today we’re taking a sharp right turn, veering away from relaxing moroccan vibes and turning to a super fun home in England, more specifically Margate – a beautiful coastal town with a renown design scene. I’ll be honest, even though it’s pretty close to France, I’d never heard of Margate before Instagram. But in the past 6 years, there have been so many amazing accounts showing up from the area with the wildest and funnest homes and show-house ever so it got on my radar quick as a super trendy place. And as a vacation bonus : it’s got sandy beaches too !

I started having some fun scoping out cool places to stay and this one shot up to #1 immediately, I present to you : the dreamiest maximalist Airbnb in all of England ! Feast your eyes 🤩

De-lightful ! Such a fabulous use of color throughout and proof once again that you can in fact, fit every color under the rainbow into one space – no rules ! 😎 I’m also dying to get a look at every little detail in the living room …

I’m definitely saving this one as a future place to visit when I need a quick weekend away and you should too –
here is the listing with more photos for your viewing pleasure !

Have a great week !

The Coolest Finds of the Week

August 5, 2022

It’s all about groovy retro vibes today ! I don’t plan a specific look around the items I save during the week but
this is just too good and a perfect match for the coolest modern interior with a 70s nod.

Burl wood continues to top my favorites list, and I’ve gotten sucked into the checkerboard trend for rugs, it’s true !
This gorgeous piece I found on Etsy is something else though 🤩 I also absolutely loved this amber glass table set too, all in all, viva la texture ! And who doesn’t need a cactus with sunglasses in their life, let’s be honest.

I hope the grooviness finds you all and inspires a relaxing weekend full of books and sunshine !

Where I Wish I Was Right Now : The Magnificent El Fenn Hotel

August 1, 2022

Well, it’s official : it’s a stay-at-home summer for me ! It’s not all bad though, lots of work to do and some very fun projects coming up, so I have plenty to keep me busy and let’s face it, an empty Paris in August is not exactly the worst place to be 😎
The only time I get a little pinch in my heart though is when I see places like the El Fenn hotel in Marrakech and then yeah, I could see myself dropping everything to just go live there for a while…

Since that’s not an option though – and maybe I’m not the only one, I’ll just drool over these photos from my kitchen table. Each room here has its own color palette and goes deep into all the amazing earth tones the country has to offer.
It’s so rich and inviting, full of texture and details – utter perfection !
Also for anyone that thinks color on every wall is “too much”, this is will end the debate once and for all.

Let’s dive in !

Oh boy, I felt my shoulders relax for a minute …. good luck to us all after seeing that,
and if you just bought a ticket to Marrakech don’t forget to send me pics 😜
Happy Monday to you all !
