Green with Envy : Delicious Hotel Decor in Paris

January 10, 2022

Happy New Year all !!
I hope your 2022 is off to a great start so far, I’m just heading back into work today with a few very exciting
projects to look forward to this month ! (I’ll share soon ;))

After a couple of weeks away it’s always a delight to be back in Paris, even with the foggy, rainy and generally gloomy weather currently surrounding us. So in honor of my beloved home, I wanted to start this new year of inspiration with the Hotel des Deux Gares here in Paris, a scrumptious hotel designed by Luke Edward Hall.

This one has been shared quite a bit in design circles and on my radar all year but I haven’t had a chance to scope it out and see for myself. This shade of green is everywhere lately from interiors, to clothes in stores, (to my own manucure) so this feels very apt !
Not to mention the mix of Klein blue in there which is also a big hit at the moment. And of course the cheeky french touches are just absolutely adorable. Basically, it’s hitting all the spots !

I hope this bold pop of color is the jolt you needed this morning !

Havenly Design of the Week : Sexy Home Theater & Lounge

December 13, 2021

Today I’m sharing one of my latests and funnest design projects from Havenly : turning a super basic basement into a glittering, bold, retro, and sexy Home Theater and Lounge area !

If you’ve never done e-design here’s the general breakdown : first we look at some ideas I put together for the room, some options on what road we can go down for the general vibe :

My client loved a lot of the items from each so we started bringing things together seeing what worked and what didn’t. After some reworking we landed on a concept with a little 70s to it, a lot of sexy darkness and warm, luxurious jewel tones to create an inviting feel for the movie-night guests :

Once we were all set on our choices, I have some serious fun putting together the room in perspective to really give my client a sense of the future room, showcasing the furniture layout, painted walls and doors, ceiling etc :

And we did a little next-level bonus, and had the room rendered in gorgeous, jaw-dropping 3D !
(With a little rug adjustment !)

BAM !

Right now we’re adding a couple of rock’n’roll touches but I just love this design so much and I can’t wait to see this room come to life and for my client and her friends to enjoy the space fully ! If I get any updated photos I’ll follow up so you can see !
