Oh beds, how I love you. I’m one of those “if I could sleep 24hrs a day, I would” types and always have been – I need my naps, “grasse matinées”, I work in my bed and my home theatre is set up right in front of it for the best seat in the house, – sorry guests !
It’s the coziest spot in the house and I take my pillows and sheets selection very seriously.

But in design, there is something even cooler than all that, and it’s the fabulous hat of the bed : the headboard ! I love a wild and funky headboard, as much as an elegant and sophisticated one : the only magic formula is go BIG ! It’s such a joyous touch, and can shape the whole feel of a room, so today I’m rounding up some of my favorite headboard designs ever to inspire you all to go big and then go home to sleep it off ! We’ve got wiggly shapes, velvet a-plenty, cool patterns, full walls, and even a little DIY action !

Happy Monday all ! Today I’m throwing you a real funky twist on traditional, as we peek into an oldie but goodie from famous French designer Géraldine Prieur, a master of color fun, and the unexpected ! Haussmanien apartments are a big deal here and they’re revered throughout the world as the epitome of French chic, but I’m not much of a traditional gal, so I do really enjoy when creative people take them on (see also : the multicolored twist from Zyva Studio). And Géraldine Prieur is the best at it.
Case in point, this color drenched apartment, in a very unique minty shade. The mixing in of bright purple, and sunny yellow doors has always stood out and been one of my favorites, it’s so in your face and unusual, gah, I just love it ! Not for the faint of heart it’s true, and even I’ll admit the rest of the home is bit too much for me, but this space is just the right amount of color theory-play !
